Welcome to my pages.
I hope your visit here will be enlightening and enjoyable.
I've been having trouble with the links on this page so am in the process of changing them.
Why Jesus is Better than Santa

In April of 2002 I went to work for a company that gave me the freedom to travel. My company provides the basics: housing complete with telephone and cable TV, transportation to the work site and transportation while I'm at the work site. I got to drove some pretty classy cars during my first year with the company. I also found a couple cars that I would not buy on a bet. Personal preferences, of course. This site is specifically made so my family and friends can follow along with me as I travel. I've been with traveling for over a year now and have been making web pages to share my experiences with friends and family. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have always wanted to live on the coast. Well my first assignment put me in Gold Beach for 5 months. I had a wonderful time while I was there. I spent lots of time on the beach. I've included some photos taken during my time there. I hope you enjoy the site. Please let me know if you have any questions about what I am doing.
Winter of 2002 found me in Roseburg, Oregon. I found a wonderful church there filled with wonderful people. I had the privilege of seeing what it was like to ride in an ambulance and trust me on this one, it is NOT fun. For a while it was a question as to whether or not I would be able to stay on the 6 month contract there. However, I managed to recover and only missed one day of work. During my year in Oregon I made some friends that I am sure will be with me for a lifetime.
Spring of 2003 found me home for a couple months. Time to unwind and get the feeling of "home" back. Then off to Iowa for a 5 week stint. I was in a tiny town on a short contract. Instead of an apartment, I was housed in a motel. Unfortunately, I was allergic to something in that place and broke out in hives. Hives are red blotches that can appear anywhere on our skin and they can either itch, burn or both. Of course I had to get them on July 3rd and they both itched and burned.
I drove from Iowa directly to my next assignment in Oklahoma, stopping by a friends place to witness their wedding vow renewal. They had a traditional Native American wedding, held outdoors. It was probably the most beautiful wedding ceremony I have ever seen. Most of the lighting came from a campfire. The guests came from as far away as Wisconsin and Australia.
I have some time and am in the process of moving things around on the site and adding a lot more photos. Each photo should be found as a thumbnail. Just click on the ones you would like to see and they will open larger. I will have a few of my favorites on some of the pages that are not large like the one found on this page. I'll be working on the navigation structure too. If you want to bookmark a page, I'd suggest doing this page. The others may be moved around until I get the site fully functional.
Click on some of the links and explore some of the places I've been and things I've seen. Many photographs have a caption. To see the caption, allow your curser to pause over the photo. Click on the thumbnail size photo to see the larger photo. Thank you for dropping in and I hope you enjoy your stay. I'd love to hear your comments. There is an email link found at the bottom of most pages. Enjoy
Thanks for stopping by.
